Ori Weisel is from Israel. He is a senior lecturer in the Organizational Behavior group in the Coller School of Management at Tel Aviv University.

Ori received his PhD Social Psychology and Rationality in 2011 from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and afterwards he was a research fellow in the Max Planck Institute for Economics in Jena, Germany, and in the Centre for Decision Research and Experimental Economics at the University of Nottingham. His main interests are in human cooperation, with an emphasis on negative aspects of cooperation, namely corruption, intergroup conflict, and excessive intragroup sanctioning.
