Dominic Eagleton

Dominic is from the UK. He is a Senior Campaigner with the UK-based NGO Global Witness.

Since joining Global Witness, Dominic has led its work on extractive industry revenue transparency.

Dominic’s initial focus at Global Witness was on an international campaign to secure the EU Accounting Directive, which requires oil, gas and mining companies to disclose their payments to governments, such as taxes and royalties, in every country they operate in. His current areas of work include using the revenue data disclosed under the EU Directive to hold extractive companies and governments to account; promoting Global Witness’s handbook for using revenue data ‘Finding the Missing Millions’; and serving on the Steering Committee of the Publish What You Pay UK civil society coalition.

Dominic has 18 years of campaigning experience with development NGOs, including a decade with ActionAid UK working on corporate accountability issues, and holds a first class degree in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
