Krzysztof Garski is from Poland. He is in charge of the open data programme at the Mayor’s Office in Gdansk and external stakeholders’ engagement into Gdansk’s openness policy.
Krzysztof took part in the launch of www.otwartygdansk.pl portal and constantly researches the City Hall for new datasets to be published. Gdansk is one of the most innovative cities in Poland, developing projects like participatory budgeting and civic panels to decide on issues important to residents of the city. Participation and engaging citizens are crucial elements of the city’s openness policy. Before Krzysztof started working with the City Hall of Gdansk, he cooperated with the Polish Agency of Enterprise Development, contributing research and articles on social and technology innovation for the Agency’s publications and portals.
