Ruth Persian
Ruth Persian is from Germany. She is an Advisor in the Behavioural Insights Team’s (BIT) Home Affairs and International Programmes team. She has worked on the design and evaluation of interventions to curb corruption in Argentina, Colombia and Mexico.
Her work focuses on the application of behavioural science to improve public service delivery in middle-income countries and the design and implementation of randomised controlled trials to evaluate the impact of behavioural insights interventions.
Previously, Ruth worked as an economist at the Ministry of Health in Burundi under the Overseas Development Institute Fellowship Scheme and as an impact evaluation field coordinator for the World Bank’s Africa Gender Innovation Lab in Nigeria. Ruth studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Tuebingen and the University of Cape Town and holds a master’s in Economics from Oxford University.
