Tanya Azuaje

Tanya Azuaje is a Venezuelan-American Associate Democratic Governance Officer at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (ODIHR).

With previous work at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bangkok and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) in Washington, DC, Tanya has worked on a range of good governance-related topics in Asia-Pacific and Latin America, including political finance, elections in conflict and climate-based displacement, inclusive and participatory governance, cybersecurity in elections, and more. Currently, she works at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s (OSCE) Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) in Warsaw. At ODIHR, Tanya works with parliaments and political parties in the OSCE region to promote public integrity, parliamentary oversight, and addressing other emerging challenges to democratic governance. Tanya holds an MA in Global Studies from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
