Nicolas Klein

Nicolas is from Germany. He is a professor of law and a member of the working group on sports of Transparency International Germany.

Nicolas has extensive experience as a sports lawyer and is a lecturer on sports law with a focus on dispute resolution and integrity in sports. Before taking on a professorship, Nicolas was dual qualified to practice law in Germany and New York and worked as attorney for an international law firm and as senior legal counsel for a leading seed breeding and biotechnology company. Previously, he was a research fellow at the chair of BVR Prof. Dr. Andreas L. Paulus at the Institute for Public International and European Law at the University of Göttingen. He holds a doctorate degree from the University of Göttingen and a LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School.

Since April 2022 he holds the professorship of energy, environmental and business law at the Faculty of Resource Management of HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Göttingen. He is lecturer in the advanced training program on dispute resolution in national and international sports at Goethe University in Frankfurt and Of Counsel at Bodenheimer in Cologne/Berlin
