Lecturers

We seek to lead by example and be of top-notch quality. Over the past 14 years more than one hundred outstanding experts taught at the Transparency School in Vilnius. The School lecturers are anti-corruption and accountability leaders that come from public, private, NGO and academic sectors and offer the participants unique perspectives on how to address corruption and promote transparency.

While the team of lecturers changes slightly every year, over time Transparency School has welcomed speakers from the World Bank Institute, OECD, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Global Witness, Amnesty International, U4, The Behavioural Insight Team, HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA Governance Platform, Center for Government Excellence at Johns Hopkins University, Global Investigative Journalism Network, Open Contracting Partnership, Corruption Watch, Integrity Action, MySociety, Sunlight Foundation, Global Advice and various Transparency International chapters and other organizations.

Andrea Franzoso is from Italy. He holds a MSc in Law and a MBA from SDA Bocconi. He also attended the Military Academy and now is a screenwriter for “Loft Produzioni”.

Ruth Persian is from Germany. She is an Advisor in the Behavioural Insights Team’s (BIT) Home Affairs and International Programmes team. She has worked on the design and evaluation of interventions to curb corruption in Argentina, Colombia and Mexico.

Sam Leon is from the UK. He leads Global Witness’s work on investigative data journalism and digital storytelling.

Lena Diesing is from Germany. She is an expert on public procurement and integrity. Lena has been working on different aspects of public procurement as part of her role as policy analyst at the OECD, including the Methodology for Assessing Procurement Systems (MAPS), reviews of OECD countries and beyond.

Claire Martin is from Ireland. She joined Transparency International in 2011. As of January 2015, Claire has taken on the role of Knowledge Coordinator on TI’s Public Procurement work and is currently project lead on the Safeguarding EU Funds through Integrity Pacts project.

Ruta Mrazauskaite is from Lithuania. She joined TI Lithuania in 2010 and has worked extensively with public procurement, lobbying and whistleblowing and coaches international criminal law at the Model International Criminal Court School.

Stan Cutzach is French. He is the Governance Director at Transparency International. Before TI, Stan worked on the improvement of living conditions of prisoners at the Lyon-based NGO Observatoire International des Prisons.

Boris Divjak is from Croatia. Until 2016, he was a director of U4 – Anti-Corruption Resource Centre in Norway. He previously worked with the World Bank and served two terms as a member of the Transparency International Board of Directors.
